We have reorganized.

CHASS Financial Services and CHASS Human Resource Services are newly established in the college, replacing the CHASS Business Office. We reorganized these services effective August 1, 2011, in order to meet FY 2011/12 budget reductions. By reorganizing, the college was able to meet approximately $400,000 of a $2.4 million budget reduction while remaining focused on our primary mission and strategic priorities. Losing a significant amount of staff funding compelled a change in the manner in which business services are provided. As we are now organized, all of the college. s financial and human resource transactions will be entered by staff in CHASS Financial Services, CHASS Human Resource Services, and the CHASS Research office in collaboration with liaisons in the departments and units. During this time of transition, the web presence for CHASS Business Services will remain under construction with contact information provided below.

CHASS Budget and Business Administration provides services and support related to budgets, fund and resource commitments, budget allocations and transfers, Dean's enhancement fund, strategic and organizational planning, employee performance management, the administration of financial and HR services, and other overarching issues related to budget and business administration.

CHASS Financial Services provides services and support related to accounting, operating spending plans, expenditure of operating funds, procurement, purchasing contracts, travel, reimbursements, accounts payable and receivable, management of 3-accounts and 9-accounts, management of enhancement funds and non-endowment related 6-accounts and 7-accounts, establishment and maintenance of projects and phases, access to financial systems, reporting of financial data, and management of financial services.

CHASS Human Resource Services provides services and support related to human resources, personnel spending plans, expenditure of personnel funds, access to human resource systems, hiring, payroll, additional compensation and payments, position management, performance evaluation processes, employment separation, reporting of human resource data, and management of human resource services.
